CTR Guns is Class III dealer in NFA (National Firearms Act) weapons.
You don’t need a License to own an NFA weapon. If you can pass a background check and legally buy a pistol, you can get all of the above Class III weapons such as short-barreled shotguns, short barreled rifles, suppressors (silencers), full-auto machine guns, grenade launchers, and any other weapons. You will need a completed and signed “Form 4″ (5320.4), a “922 Compliance” form ( F 5330.20), payment of the “transfer fee” (tax stamp) of $200 (any other weapons transfer fee is only five dollars). We will assist you with the paperwork. If you are transferring the item as an individual rather than an LLC, Corporation, or Trust, then you will also need to submit 2 sets of fingerprints, 2 passport photos, and authorization from your chief law enforcement officer.
The Transfer of the ownership will take approximately 180 days from the day the BATFE receives your completed paperwork and payment. This may take longer depending on how backlogged the BATFE is in processing paperwork. The paperwork can only be started once we have an established serial number (in the case you placed a special order).
So, in a nutshell, you pay for the item, and if it comes from stocked inventory it is transferred to us via “Form 3″ in about 2-4 weeks. Then we can assist with your paperwork, and send it in to the BATFE, while waiting about six months for the transfer. If the item, such as a suppressor has to be made, you should allow for the manufacturing time, which could be a couple to several months depending on the manufacturer.
Since it is not a license, it does not need to be renewed, nor any other fees as long as it remains in your ownership.
Full-auto machineguns (not the other NFA devices) can only be owned by Civilians if they are registered as such BEFORE May 19, 1986. This is the reason that transferrable machineguns are considered by many to be a better investment than real estate!
